FEES
A registration fee of $25.00 plus your first week's fees are due at the time of enrolment.
Fees are due in advance, so please bring in your cheque, cash or money order to the office every Monday morning, or put it in your child's bag if using our transportation. Post dated cheques are also accepted if that is more convenient. Fees are due on a weekly basis and continuously through statutory holidays and sick days (excluding approved vacations).
Direct Debit is also available, as a method of payment between 8:15 - 5:30
A late charge of $1.00 per day will be added to your account if fees are in arrears more than two weeks. If fees are in arrears more than three weeks, day care services will be terminated.
| |
SUBSIDIZED CLIENTS
Halton Region allows your child to be absent from child care a
maximum of 39 days per calendar year for any reason, i.e. vacations,
sick days, statutory holidays. Part time or part year clients’
days are also prorated. For each absence beyond that, the client
will be responsible for the full child care fee, not just the
usual subsidized portion.
| |
PART TIME CLIENTS
Part time clients are responsible for payment for the days they have chosen, including statutory holidays. Days cannot be changed on an occasional basis. Children may attend extra days at an additional cost if space is available.
| |
HOURS:
The centre is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The Infant room hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. In order to gain maximum benefit from our programs, children should arrive before 9:15 a.m. If your child will be away on a particular day or will be arriving after 10:00 a.m., we would appreciate a telephone call. Children must be escorted into the centre; our responsibility begins when the parent informs the staff on duty of the child's arrival.
If you pick your child up after 6:00 p.m. (infants after 5:45 p.m.) a late fee of $10.00 for each half (1/2) hour, or part of each half (1/2) hour will be charged. Please respect our teachers' need to leave at 6:00 p.m.
| |
VACATION POLICY
At our centre, two weeks vacation when your child is not in attendance may be taken in your individual fiscal year, without payment of your usual fee. Written notice must be given to the office at least two week in advance of your time away. Changes to these vacation plans will also require two weeks written notice to the office.
The first week may be taken after the third month and a second week after the tenth month or two weeks may be taken after the tenth month. For all other days (extra vacation, sick days, statutory holidays) you are responsible for payment at your usual rate. When planning a vacation, it is best to check with the office about eligibility for nonpayment.
| |
CANCELLATION
We require two weeks notice for withdrawal. If you remove your child without notice, then you will be responsible for the full two weeks fees.
| |
BAD WEATHER
Please listen to CHML 900 or K-LITE FM102.8 or TV CHANNEL 11 during bad weather for cancellation of bus service or school closure.
| |
SECURITY
Your child will not be allowed to leave the school with anyone
other than yourself, unless you have given us written permission.
| |
DISCIPLINE AND BEHAVIORS
Limits and rules concerning safety and individual rights appropriate
for the age of the child, have been set for each play area. These
limits provide a sense of security. Children are encouraged to
verbalize their feelings to one another. If a child is not managing
within the limits, he is spoken to, directed to another activity
or removed from the group, depending on the situation.
| |
MEDICATION
In keeping with the Public Health Regulations, staff may only administer prescription medication or patent medicine prescribed by a physician. You will be required to complete a medication or patent authorization form outlining dosage and the time when it is to be administered. Medication must be given directly to the staff member and not left in the child's bag in the cupboard. The form must be signed and dated every day that medication is to be given.
| |
CLOTHING
For the children's comfort, please ensure that they wear casual clothing and provide a bag for storage with an extra set of clothing in case of mishap. Please mark all clothing especially outerwear, with you child's name. We cannot be responsible for lost articles.
